A Corvette drove into a fence and destroyed it. It also caused damage to the front of the house. The driver walked away from the incident and was not found until four hours later when he was drinking a beer. The fact he was drinking a beer when he was found meant that it would almost be impossible to determine if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
1. A Corvette crashed into a fence when it was driving at a high speed.
2. The Corvette damaged the fence as well as the front of the house.
3. The driver left the scene and was found elsewhere drinking a beer.
Quote: "The police report said the responding officer estimated that the Corvette was traveling outbound on South Water Street at an extremely high speed and veered suddenly left toward the property." (Machell, 2017)
