One of the questions you might ask yourself is if a Weigh Safe hitch comes with a case. The quick answer is that it depends on your definition of a case. If you have a look at the Weigh Safe unboxing post we did then you will see that Weigh Safe hitches come in a sleeved box. You actually remove the item by slipping off the cover. Obviously, the problem with this method is that the Weigh Safe hitch could slip out while you are holding it because there is no bottom or top to hold in the box (see figure 1 to get a better idea of what the box looks like with the sleeve removed.). Keep that in mind if you are looking for a case that will envelop the product. The one provided does not do that at all.
However, it is important to notice in that post that it does have foam material on the inside that was specially made or set up to hold the contents of the box. The design helps things from sliding around inside the box. The same kind of fit you would expect a case to give you. If you are looking for that kind of protection for your vehicle then you are going to be happy with the box and the way they have set it up. However, if you are looking for a more traditional case then you might be disappointed because the box can only withstand a finite amount of rain, snow, or any other type of liquid before it turns into the cardboard mush we all expect when a liquid is introduced to an item made of cardboard.
However, if you are looking for something stable that will protect your Weigh Safe hitch from damage then existing box will work for you. Keep in mind that this does not apply in a situation where there is a liquid that spills all over the item. The cover is thin but it should last the normal amount of time a cover of that type will if you treat it like it is and not what you hope or wish it to be. It would be nice if they provided a case that provided protection against liquid, however, the do not do so as of yet. Therefore, you should be nice to the case you do have and try to preserve it as much as possible.
If you are wondering if you can stack other items on top of it. The answer is possibly. It depends on a few factors such as the weight of the things you want to stack on top of the box and the sharpness of the items you want to put on top of the box. We are not just talking about the boxes that hold the items you are stacking. We are talking about the items themselves because they could poke through the box and box through the Weigh Safe box as well. The box does have sturdiness to it but it is best to use your judgment about what you should and should not stack on top of the box.
If you are wondering if the Weigh Safe hitches have a case then you need to know that it depends on your definition. if you are looking for something that can block liquid then the answer is no. If you are looking for something that is designed to hold the item perfectly then yes. You can stack some items on top, however, it might not be the best idea depending on how heavy those boxes are, what is in those boxes, and how likely it is for something in those boxes to break through and damage the Weigh Safe box.
