  We are not sure, to be honest. There are several occasions when GM changes part numbers and does not tell us about it until someone orders the part. Unfortunately, this is one of those parts where that happened. We do not know why they change part numbers or what they hope to accomplish. However, we do know that this is the new part number for the Stage 2 rear spoiler extension kit for the Corvette Z06 and the Grand Sport as well.

  Are there any physical differences between the previous model and the current one?

  No. The physical product has not changed. The only thing that has updated is the new part number. Otherwise, everything is the same.

  Is it still possible to get the other number?

  Probably but not likely. We do have a few of the previous and they will be sent out as this part number when ordered until we do not have stock of the item.

  No. The part is still 30 x 10 x 6. The part still weighs 5.3 lbs.

  FedEx home delivery in most cases. There have been a few FedEx ground shipments, however, we find that most people who buy this product are individuals and not businesses. Therefore, the FedEx ground is not used as often. There are a few rare cases where they leave as a USPS priority shipment. It is highly unusual and usually happens because the shipment is going somewhere fairly close to our store. How close is close? We are talking about people who are in state or are fairly close in neighboring states.

  One last question for you, is the box good enough to withstand the inevitable beating it will take as it works its way to me?

  The box is pretty stout as we have had very few complaints about it. How many? Out of the hundreds and maybe even thousands we have sent the number of complaints has been 1 to 3 if even that at all. We cannot remember any specific returns other than someone misordered based on damage to the stage 2 rear spoiler extension kit.
